Sunny Joe, Peru in short

Sunny Joe is a soft-creamy Ray & Jules coffee, with medium intensity. You taste notes of dark chocolate, herbs, blackberries and dried fruit. This was our very first sustainable coffee, slow roasted using solar energy.

Fair: fair trade or direct trade

Our ultimate goal: equal and direct relationships with cooperatives and/or farmers . We want to give them ownership in the coffee chain and grow together towards climate-proof plantations.

If this is not (yet) possible, we choose FTO. Through these labels we can be sure that farmers receive support to provide for their livelihood and to invest in their coffee cultivation.

What's special
about this coffee

This coffee comes from 3 organic plantations: Juan Francisco Alberca, Walter Corrales and Eswin Tocto. They have been part of the Tocto family's project from the start to turn “Finca Churupampa” into an example farm of agro-economic best practices focused on healthy plants and soil nutrition.

Quality has been a focus here from the start thanks to Eber, one of the founders, who was one of the first Peruvian cuppers with a Q-grader diploma.

Sunny Joe is organic

Organic certification.

Producers & cooperative

The story of 'Finca Churupampa' started with Eber Tocto who dreamed of making his region an example of agroecology and circular
agriculture. Together with his father and brothers, he worked very hard and today this 'finca' stands for strong entrepreneurship, respect for local agricultural traditions, circular thinking and direct relationships with roasters.
